Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Atlantic City, NJ seeks a Nursing Assistant (CNA) for full-time day shifts, 7:00 am–7:00 pm, with rotating weekends. Compensation is $18.87–$23.00 per hour, based on experience, plus a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

You will assist with bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and hair care; perform hourly rounds; help transport patients; and maintain clean, stocked rooms. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED (3+ years experience); BLS within 90 days; CNA certification or

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less bath products and assisting with hygiene.
• Assist with oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds and respond to patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with transfers.
• Maintain clean, orderly patient rooms and equipment.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
