Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) in Saddle Brook, NJ. Full-time DAYS 7AM-7:30PM with weekday and weekend shifts. Compensation ranges from $21.00 to $25.59 per hour plus shift differential, based on experience.

The role involves providing direct patient care, taking vitals, assisting with daily living activities, and contributing to a safe, healing environment in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.

Qualifications

• Certified BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience or CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and mobility.
• Deliver meals, document oral intake and supplements.
• Turn, position, and transfer immobile patients safely.
• Respond to patient call lights and assist with care as needed.
• Transport patients to treatment areas within the facility.

Compensation:

$21.00 - $25.59/Per Hour (Based on Experience) + Shift Differential

• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub, and shower), oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves, and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in the mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Minimum Requirements

• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required
