Job summary

Inova Specialty Hospital in Alexandria, VA, is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our team on a full-time days schedule. Compensation ranges from $22.15 to $27.00 per hour, reflecting competitive pay and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less bath products and assisting with oral hygiene.
• Participate in hourly rounds to monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers and help move them in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs

• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
