Job summary

Regency Hospital - Oregon in Oregon, OH is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide compassionate patient care in a critical illness recovery hospital. The role supports post-ICU patients, including bathing, hygiene, and mobility, while working closely with the nursing team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: hospital CNA certification or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less methods and assisting with hygiene.
• Assist with oral feeding and hair care for patients.
• Participate in hourly rounds and monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist movers with stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and other instruments.
• Keep patient rooms clean and organized; manage unit stock as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

$18.05 - $22 per hour (based on years of experience)

*This position requires the ability to pick up shifts at both our Sylvania and Oregon locations, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
