Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Columbus South is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate patient care in a critical illness recovery setting. The role includes bathing, oral care, rounds, and patient transport support in a busy inpatient unit.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (or 3+ years of related experience) and BLS within 90 days of hire. Hospital NA/CNA experience is preferred. Sign-on bonus of $3,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years relevant work experience.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA, or related field (e.g. medical assistant, RN student).

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned
