Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant for full‑time night shifts on a 12‑hour schedule. You will participate in patient bathing, rounds, transport, and daily care, supporting recovery in a high‑acuity setting.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate ($18.05–$22.00 based on experience) and a $3,000 sign‑on bonus, along with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within a large national health system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience (3+ years).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing using basin‑less methods and assist with oral hygiene.
• Complete hourly rounds and monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist movers as needed.
• Keep patient rooms, beds, bedpans and wheelchairs clean and organized.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin‑less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
