Job summary

Helen M. Simpson Rehabilitation Hospital in Harrisburg, PA seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care in a busy inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will assist with daily activities, monitor vital signs, and support mobility and feeding under the supervision of nursing staff.

This full-time position offers a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Orientation will be thorough to ensure a smooth transition into our clinical team and patient-centered care approach.

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, CNA certification preferred (maybe required depending on state requirements).

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care such as bathing, oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participate in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that support patient well-being.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.
