Job summary

Regency Hospital Company is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA/CNA) for Portage, IN. This PRN/Per Diem role involves 12-hour night shifts with hourly patient care duties and transport responsibilities in a critical illness recovery setting.

Candidates should have a CNA certification (or equivalent) and hospital experience; BLS is required within 90 days of hire. The position offers an orientation program, potential advancement, and 401k eligibility after meeting hours requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (e.g. medical assistant).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, oral care, feeding and grooming.
• Participate in hourly rounds to monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with moving patients in wheelchairs/stretchers.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and patient rooms.
• Keep unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $21.00 per hour

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin‑less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
