Job summary

Regency Hospital in Portage, IN is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) for a full-time night schedule. You will perform patient bathing, oral hygiene, feeding and hair care, and participate in hourly rounds to ensure patient comfort and safety.

The role supports patients across post-ICU recovery, with a focus on compassionate care, cleanliness, and teamwork. A strong orientation and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing using basin-less products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with wheelchairs and stretchers.
• Maintain cleanliness of beds, rooms and equipment.
• Keep unit stock levels and perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.73 per hour, plus competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
