Regency Hospital in Portage, IN is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) for full-time night shifts. The position pays $17.00–$20.73 per hour, with competitive night and weekend differentials, and includes a thorough orientation to ensure a smooth transition into our setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks such as bathing with basin-less products and assisting with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Conduct hourly rounds and respond to patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist with transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments, bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms tidy and organized.
• Monitor and replenish unit supplies as directed.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directedPerforms other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
