Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking Nursing Assistants for the Clinical Evaluation Unit, 36 hours per week, days. Schedule includes 1-12 hour day shift and 3-8 hour day shifts; rotation may change to meet unit needs. This is a 0.9 FTE position with potential remote/hybrid option.

Certified Nursing Assistant preferred; if not certified, must be registered as a Nurse Assistant within 3 months. BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• CNA preferred; if not certified, must register as Nurse Assistant within 3 months from date of employment.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with personal hygiene, nutrition, and comfort.
• Safely transfer patients and take vital signs with accurate recordkeeping.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly report to RN.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment in accordance with Joint Commission and regulatory standards.

Job Description:

Seeking Nursing Assistants for our Clinical Evaluation Unit. This position is 36 hours per week Days.
1- 12 hour shift and 3 - 8 hour shifts.

Education Qualifications:

Responsible for providing direct care to patients and serving the needs of patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, and/or Department Director (possibly with guidance from an LPN) to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health. Duties will vary by patient care unit/department and include but are not limited to: Providing personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needs, providing comfort care and other assistance, appropriately and safely transferring patients, taking vital signs and completing recordkeeping, recognizing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process. Works within job scope to meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory and accrediting agencies.

This position requires the ability to work the following schedule:

• 36 hours per week
• 1-12 hour day shift and 3 - 8 hour day shifts
• Schedule is currently Monday-Thursday; however the schedule could change due to the needs of unit.

Hiring Incentive Eligible Position: Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $1500.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant through the North Dakota Department of Health preferred. If not certified as a Nursing Assistant, must be registered as a Nurse Assistant through the North Dakota Department of Health within 3 months from date of employment.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
