Essentia Health is seeking Nursing Assistants for the Clinical Evaluation Unit. This 24-hour-per-week evening position (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) offers an opportunity to provide direct patient care under RN supervision in a dynamic unit.

Responsibilities include hygiene, nutrition support, comfort measures, vital signs, and accurate recordkeeping, with emphasis on patient safety and comfort.Certification requirements include CNA preferred and BLS within 3 months, plus potential remote/hybrid options

Qualifications

• Provide direct patient care under supervision by RN or Nurse Manager.
• Assist with hygiene, nutrition, comfort, mobility, and safety to support patient well-being.
• Maintain clean, safe environment and comply with Joint Commission and regulatory standards.

Building Location: 32nd Avenue Building Department: 3014320 CRITICAL EVALUATION UNIT - 32ND HOSP Job Description: Seeking Nursing Assistants for our Clinical Evaluation Unit. This position is 24 hours per week on the evening shift, 3pm-11:30pm.

Education Qualifications:

Responsible for providing direct care to patients and serving the needs of patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, and/or Department Director (possibly with guidance from an LPN) to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health. Duties will vary by patient care unit/department and include but are not limited to: Providing personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needs, providing comfort care and other assistance, appropriately and safely transferring patients, taking vital signs and completing recordkeeping, recognizing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process. Works within job scope to meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory and accrediting agencies. This position requires the ability to work the following schedule: 24 hours per week 8 Hour Evening Shifts 3pm-11:30pm Currently no weekends, this is subject to change per staffing needs of the unit Permeant Evening Shift Differential on top of base wage. Hiring Incentive Eligible Position: Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $1500.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Certified Nursing Assistant through the North Dakota Department of Health preferred. If not certified as a Nursing Assistant, must be registered as a Nurse Assistant through the North Dakota Department of Health within 3 months from date of employment.
