Essentia Health is seeking Nursing Assistants for the IMC/ICU department in Fargo, ND. This 24-hour-per-week position features permanent weekend days from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, with a 12-hour day shift and weekend differential. Job involves direct patient care under RN supervision and requires BLS within 3 months.

Preferred CNA certification; if not certified, must obtain CNA registration within 3 months. Compensation ranges per hour and includes standard hospital benefits.

Job Description:

Seeking Nursing Assistants for our IMC/ICU Department. This position is 24 hours per week, Permanent Weekends, Days 7am-7:30pm.

Education Qualifications:

Responsible for providing direct care to patients and serving the needs of patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, and/or Department Director (possibly with guidance from an LPN) to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health. Duties will vary by patient care unit/department and include but are not limited to: Providing personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needs, providing comfort care and other assistance, appropriately and safely transferring patients, taking vital signs and completing recordkeeping, recognizing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process. Works within job scope to meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory and accrediting agencies.

This position requires the ability to work the following schedule:

• 24 hours per week
• Weekends
• 12 hour Day Shift 7am-7:30pm
• Straight Weekend Differential Pay on top of Base Wage

Hiring Incentive Eligible Position: Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $1500.

Licensure/CertificationQualifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant through the North Dakota Department of Health preferred. If not certified as a Nursing Assistant, must be registered as a Nurse Assistant through the North Dakota Department of Health within 3 months from date of employment.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
