Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to support physicians and provide compassionate patient care across a variety of medical conditions.

Key duties include collecting patient data, assisting with daily living activities, transporting patients, collecting specimens, and ensuring safety for at-risk individuals on the 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. shift. A high school diploma and BLS certification are required, with CT CNA training preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Connecticut approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing OR Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed OR significant previous healthcare related experience
• Proof with college transcript required OR have significant nurse assistant/healthcare related experience is required
• Certification: BLS certification required
• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting preferred
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check
