Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health, seeks a Nursing Assistant for 12-hour night shifts to support physicians and provide compassionate patient care in a high acuity setting.

Responsibilities include collecting patient data, assisting with ADLs, transporting patients, and monitoring at-risk individuals. Requirements include a high school diploma, CT-approved Nurse Aide program, BLS, and background checks.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; CT-approved Nurse Aide Training preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing OR Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed OR significant previous healthcare related experience
• Proof with college transcript required OR have significant nurse assistant/healthcare related experience is required
• Certification: BLS certification required
• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting preferred
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check

Description: At Saint Francis Hospital the Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians while providing exceptional treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions.

What you will do

• Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation
• Patient Transport
• Collection of specimens
• Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms

• As assigned, stays with at-risk patients to monitor patient safety

Minimum Qualifications
