Job summary

Baptist Health Lexington is hiring a Nursing Assistant for the Mother/Baby Unit on the third shift. This part-time position (24 hours per week) supports RN staff with direct patient care and family education, focusing on mom and newborn care.

The role requires a Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification or completion of first year nursing clinicals, a high school diploma, and a current BLS certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire. Benefits accompany part-time status.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or licensed care team member.
• Assist with examinations, treatments, and routine nursing tasks as directed.
• Support mother/baby care, safety, and family education on the unit.
