Job summary

Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a Charge Nurse for the Mother/Baby Unit on the 3rd shift. The unit features 42 private rooms and a team of nurses focused on postpartum care for both mom and baby, with lactation consultants and NANs supporting new families.

Under supervision, you coordinate patient care, perform rounds, admissions, transfers and discharges, and provide education to families. Active Kentucky RN license and BSN progress required, with BLS/ACLS and at least one year of RN

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN license.
• BLS, ACLS and/or other unit-specific certification training/requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or currently pursuing BSN; must be completed within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workflow and supervise staff for the designated shift.
• Provide direct patient care, conduct rounds, assessments and treatments.
• Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges; educate patients and families.
