Job summary

Baptist Health Lexington's Mother/Baby Unit is seeking a Charge Nurse to guide the 3rd shift with leadership and clinical expertise. You will oversee nursing rounds, activity coordination, admissions and discharges, and provide family-centered teaching to support smooth transitions home.

The ideal candidate holds an active Kentucky RN license with BLS/ACLS, a BSN or progress toward it within five years, and at least one year of RN experience. Comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN license.
• BLS, ACLS and/or other designated unit specific certification training/requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or currently actively pursuing a BSN degree (completed within 5 years).
• Minimum of one year of Registered Nurse experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise workflow and staff for a designated shift on the Mother/Baby Unit.
• Coordinate patient care through rounds, assessments and treatments.
• Facilitate admissions, transfers and discharges; provide patient/family education.
• Model compassionate care and support a healing environment.
