Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to deliver instruction using active learning methods.
• Plan and implement active learning activities to meet course competencies.
• Develop, utilize and update course competencies and summaries.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Maintain current competency in the nursing field and adapt to diverse populations.
• Collaborate with colleagues and staff across program areas.
• Working knowledge of computer concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site instruction in entry level care for Nursing Assistants.
• Plan, select, prepare and implement active learning activities meeting course competencies.
• Use formative and summative assessment tools to measure student achievement.
• Distribute course competencies, policies, and grading procedures to students at course start.
• Deliver instruction using active learning methods for diverse learners.
• Guide students regarding course progress and academic concerns.
• Collaborate with library, media, IT and other services to integrate instructional activities.
• Review and revise delivery methods and materials based on assessments and evaluations.
