Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One year nursing assistant experience or completion of one trainings listed.
• Current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.
• Eligible for Florida CNA licensure or LPN/RN as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assists patient with hygiene, mobility, hydration, elimination, and nutrition.
• Provides routine treatments and maintains a safe, clean patient environment.
• Maintains safety and security of patients, families, self, and healthcare team.
• Ensures patient privacy, rights and confidentiality.
• Follows standard precautions and washes hands between patients.
• Assists with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Takes and records vital signs and inputs patient data as directed.
• Documents pertinent patient information per Orlando Health policies.
• Escalates concerns about patient condition to RN or team.
• Participates in handoff reports and hourly rounds.
• Delivers exceptional service and care to patients and families.
• Keeps nursing unit clean, neat, and organized.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent

Nursing Assistant Program

State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant

State of Florida Licensed Practical Nurse

Graduate of an approved school of nursing

Medical Corpsman/EMT/Paramedic

Licensure outside the United States

One year healthcare experience (past five years)

Current BLS HealthCare Provider certification
