Job summary

Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital in Melbourne, FL, is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. You will assist with hygiene, mobility, vital signs, and daily living activities while upholding safety and patient privacy in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (or GED).
• Completion of a Nursing Assistant program; or approved equivalent.
• Florida CNA certification or active licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with hygiene, mobility, hydration, elimination, and nutritional needs.
• Provides routine treatments and maintains a safe, clean patient environment.
• Maintains patient privacy, rights and confidentiality.
• Transports and delivers items and medications throughout the facility.
• Receives and processes incoming calls and guest requests.
• Attends unit staff meetings and completes mandatory training.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide age-appropriate care across life span.
• Participates in handoff report and nursing care coordination.
