Job summary

Duke HomeCare & Hospice provides hospice, home health and infusion services across the region, partnering with physicians to deliver comprehensive patient care in the home or at the inpatient facility in Durham, NC.

The role involves assisting RNs/LPNs in direct patient care, performing routine tasks, and supporting the patient’s comfort and safety while adhering to clinical standards and safety protocols. 1 shift per week, 8-hour weekdays and 12-hour weekend PRN opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must hold Nursing Assistant I (NAI) certification and maintain current status.
• BLS certification must be maintained/completed by end of orientation.
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Record patient data for medical records and inform RN/LPN of changes.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transportation of patients as assigned.
