Duke HomeCare & Hospice in Durham, NC is seeking a Nursing Assistant I (CNA I) for Hospice Home Care PRN on-site shifts. You will provide direct patient care under RN/LPN supervision in home and inpatient settings, with a focus on comfort and dignity for patients and families.

Shifts are 8-hour weekdays and 12-hour weekend PRN, averaging one shift per week. The role emphasizes compassionate care, adherence to safety practices and ongoing professional development within our Duke Health system.

Qualifications

• Currently listed as a Nursing Assistant I (NAI) with the Division of Facility Services with no substantiated findings of abuse, fraud, neglect or misappropriation of property.
• BLS certification must be maintained/completed by the end of new hire orientation, which typically takes place during the first week of employment.
• Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance coverage.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for specific procedures and required.
• Participate in own professional development by maintaining required training.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transportation of patients.
• Turn and position patients, provide fresh drinking water and assist with daily living activities.
• Provide care and support to meet personal needs and comfort of patients.
