Job summary

UNC Health Nash Hospitals is seeking a Nursing Assistant I for per diem night shifts in Nash UNC Health Care. You will assist with routine patient care under supervision, monitor vital signs, and help with daily living activities, with emphasis on safety and compassionate support.

Requires High School diploma or GED, NC Nursing Assistant I licensure, BLS, and at least 6 months of relevant experience. Per diem schedule and onsite work at Nash Hospitals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Listed as Nursing Assistant I with North Carolina DHHS.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Six months of relevant nursing assistant experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures.
• Observe, collect, and document patient information; report changes to RN/physician.
• Provide direct personal care and support to patients with ADLs per care plan.
• Support patient and family orientation and discharge planning.
• Maintain clean, stocked work areas and assist with routine clerical tasks.
