Job summary

UNC Health Nash is seeking Clinical Helpers to assist nursing staff with hospitalized patients in a role focused on basic hands-on care. Responsibilities include bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility under supervision.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or equivalent and current BCLS certification; PCA experience is preferred. This is a full-time, onsite position with night shifts and a 36-hour workweek in Nash County.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Current BCLS certification
• Experience as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) is preferred
• Superior interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Bathe patients under supervision
• Feed patients as needed
• Assist with Toileting and hygiene
• Apply and remove restraints (soft wrist and mittens) as directed
• Complete CHG baths per protocol
• Perform Foley maintenance care
• Turn and reposition patients to prevent bedsores
• Assist with Activity Progression of patients
