Job summary
Essentia Health in Duluth, MN is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the inpatient rehab team. You will provide direct patient care under supervision, assist with activities of daily living, and support the nursing staff to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Position requires flexibility to cover Day, Evening, and Night shifts with a 0.8 FTE schedule, including every other weekend and rotating 8-hour shifts. Competitive benefits and retirement plans are offered.
Qualifications
- 6 months of nursing assistant experience.
- Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program.
- Enrollment into the Essentia Health Nursing Assistant Foundation Course within 30 days of hire.
- Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program.
- Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry.
Responsibilities
- Providing personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needs.
- Providing comfort care and other assistance.
- Appropriately and safely transferring patients.
- Taking vital signs and completing recordkeeping.
- Recognizing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN.
- Maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients to promote healing.
