Job summary

Guthrie in Towanda, PA seeks a Nursing Assistant for the Skilled Nursing Unit on a per diem basis. You will work under nursing staff to provide direct resident care, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain comfort, dignity, and safety for residents.

You will participate in care planning and documentation while supporting a collaborative care team. Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, CNA training, and PA Nurse Aide Certification within 120 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous nursing assistant experience preferred but not required.
• Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Certification within 120 days of hire.
• CPR certification required.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Check required.
• Must read/write/understand English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to assure resident comfort.
• Assist with activities of daily living and care plans.
• Prepare residents for meals and assist feeding.
• Maintain residents' rights and safety.
• Document daily activities and attend care planning meetings.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
