Guthrie Nursing Assistant – SNU in Towanda, PA seeks compassionate Nursing Assistants to deliver direct resident care under professional supervision, assisting with activities of daily living, meals, and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous nursing assistant experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand written and verbal communication.
• Must follow universal precautions and utilize proper body mechanics.
• Maintains CPR certification.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Check required.
• Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Certification required within 120 days of hire.
• CPR/AED Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to assure resident comfort.
• Participates in team conferences and care planning.
• Prepares residents for meals, assists in feeding.
• Maintains resident's rights.
• Makes rounds and responds to call lights.
• Reports changes observed in resident condition to nursing staff.
• Contributes to resident care plans.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment.
• Attends in-service programs and staff meetings.
