Job summary

Guthrie is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the Skilled Nursing Unit on a part-time basis. You will work under professional nursing staff to provide direct resident care, assist with daily living activities, and support individualized care plans in a safe, respectful environment.

Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or GED (preferred), CPR certification, and PA Nurse Aide certification within 120 days of hire; prior CNA experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous nursing assistant experience preferred, but not required.
• Must follow universal precautions and utilize proper body mechanics.
• Maintains CPR certification.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Check required.
• Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Certification required within 120 days of hire.
• CPR/AED Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care under supervision of professional staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living and meals as needed.
• Participate in care planning and team conferences.
• Maintain resident rights and safety in the unit.
• Complete daily documentation and keep call lights responsive.
• Assist orientation of new nursing assistants and participate in meetings.
