Essentia Health in Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota, is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Nursing leadership. The position requires working 36 hours per week with rotating 12-hour shifts, including day and overnight options.

As an employee, you will engage in vital sign checks, patient comfort, and safe patient transfers while maintaining a clean environment to support healing. Union: STJSEIU Local 113.

Competenze

• Must meet ONE of the following requirements (education focus).
• 6 months of patient care experience or clinical rotations in nursing program or Nursing Assistant training.
• Verifiable nurse aide training completion or registry in good standing.

Mansioni

• Provide personal hygiene care and assist with nutritional needs.
• Provide comfort care and other assistance to patients.
• Safely transfer patients and assist with mobility.
• Take vital signs and complete recordkeeping.
• Report changes in patient condition to the RN promptly.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment to promote healing.

Formazione

6 months of patient care experience

Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program

Successful completion of an EH provided Nursing Assistant training within one month of hire

Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program

Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry
