Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital – Charleston is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) to join our night-shift team on the 7-7 schedule at CAMC.

You will provide fundamental patient care, including bathing, oral hygiene, rounds, transport help, and maintaining clean equipment and rooms. BLS required within 90 days; a high school diploma or equivalent is needed; sign-on bonus is $5,000.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: hospital experience as a CNA or related field.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less products, oral hygiene, feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers and assist with movement from stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; maintain unit stock levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Location: Select Specialty Hospital - Charleston (located inside CAMC)

Schedule: 7-7, Night ShiftCompensation: $16.00 - $19.50 per hour, plus shift differentials for nights and weekends

Sign-on bonus: $5,000 sign on bonus

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly conditionMaintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
