Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Morgantown is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA/CNA/PCT) to provide compassionate patient care in a 4th floor post-ICU setting. Day shift, 12-hour shifts, with a $7,500 sign-on bonus. Compensation ranges from $17.23 to $21.00 per hour plus weekend differentials.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient bathing, oral care, feeding, and hair care.
• Perform hourly rounds and assist transporters.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms and equipment; stock supplies.
• Support nursing staff in daily routines and during procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Day Shift, 12 hr shifts, 6:30-7

Compensation: $17.23 - $21.00 per hour, plus shift differentials for weekends

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
