Job summary

Care with Dignity at Home is hiring part-time PCAs in Spotsylvania and Stafford counties, VA. You will provide compassionate in-home care, assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and light housekeeping, while ensuring safety and dignity.

A PCA certification and reliable transportation are required, with shifts days, evenings, and weekends available. Salary ranges from $15.00 to $20.00 per hour, with flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional development and referrals bonuses.

Qualifications

• Certification in personal care assistance (PCA) required.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.
• Ability to follow medical documentation procedures accurately.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and reliable home care with dignity.
• Assist with personal care tasks: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and use of mobility aids/equipment.
• Provide medication reminders and monitor needs.
• Prepare meals per dietary requirements and shop as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain client living space.

SHIFTS AVAILABLE IN: Spotsylvania and Stafford counties.

Responsibilities

• Provide our clients with safe, compassionate, and reliable care with dignity.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, including using mobility aids and equipment.
• Medication reminder.
• Basic food preparation: assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met and shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and organizing the client's living space.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Veteran care, Alzheimer's care, and Dementia care.
• Back-up care (or respite) services: providing other caregivers a break.

Requirements

• Previous experience and must have certification.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.
• Ability to follow medical documentation procedures accurately.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
• Must have a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
