Job summary
Geisinger Lewistown Hospital is hiring a Nursing Assistant to provide essential patient care and clerical support on the unit. You will assist licensed nurses, document patient information, and help with daily living activities while maintaining safety and efficient patient flow.
The role offers market-leading pay, up to 3 shift differentials for evenings, nights and weekends, and up to 40,000 in RN_training support to advance your career.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in direct patient care or nursing assistant settings preferred.
- Ability to perform clerical duties and support patient flow on the unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Perform clerical duties for admissions, transfers, discharges, and related activities.
- Document patient information and changes in condition accurately.
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to licensed personnel.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Support patient safety through monitoring and one-to-one watch as needed.
- Coordinate transportation and delivery of specimens and supplies.
