Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of clerical duties and direct patient care activities as needed to support the unit.
• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse within the nursing assistant scope of practice.
• Identify, observe and document patient needs and changes in condition and report promptly.
• Assist with activities of daily living and transportation of patients and specimens as required.
• Participate in patient safety initiatives and help maintain equipment and supplies.
• Serve as a mentor for new staff and students, and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
