Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Clinical Nursing Supervisor to coordinate hospital operations with emphasis on communications, patient throughput, and quality. You will act as an administrative designee for urgent needs with Administration and ensure safe, compliant patient care.

The role requires RN licensure, BSN preferred, and strong leadership with proficiency in coordinating shifts, rounds, and interdepartmental collaboration.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• BSN degree preferred or enrolled in BSN program within 1 year and completed within 3 years.
• BLS certification required; CPI certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates hospital activities with focus on communications, throughput, patient experience and quality.
• Guides staff on compliance with Nursing Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Coordinates shift management and patient flow with interdisciplinary teams for admissions and discharges.
• Monitors staffing and uses resources to maintain appropriate coverage.
• Provides guidance on new treatments, interprets policies for staff, patients, and visitors.
