Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Nursing Administrator to supervise hospital operations, focusing on patient throughput, safety, and quality. This role acts as a designee for Administration and responds to urgent requests or emergencies with the on-call administrator.

Qualified candidates will have RN licensure, a BSN, and prior nursing leadership experience, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance and team coordination.

Qualifications

• RN licensure active in the appropriate state.
• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Two years nursing management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees hospital activities with focus on patient throughput, safety and quality.
• Liaises with nursing staff and the Administrator-On-Call as appropriate.
• Coordinates shift management and staffing to ensure proper coverage.
• Ensures compliance with the Nursing Practice Act and internal policies.
• Assists with admissions, transfers and discharges across units.
• Maintains clinical and professional competency in supervision.
