Job summary

Lake Charles Memorial Health System is seeking a Nursing Admin Supervisor to oversee floor staff, uphold service-excellence, hourly rounding, AIDET, and bedside reporting. The role requires leadership in a hospital setting with strong communication and clinical coordination.

The supervisor reports to the Director of House Supervision and partners with the Staffing Coordinator to optimize unit staffing, patient flow, and safety across shifts while reinforcing policy adherence and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Nursing School.
• 2 years experience as Charge Nurse/Manager RN.
• Current CPR/ACLS/PALS certification.
• Basic computer literacy and medical equipment knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Staffing Coordinator to appropriately staff units
• Manages stressful situations effectively and professionally
• Delegates appropriately and efficiently as needs are communicated from staff members
• Conducts Nursing rounds every 2 hours on all nursing units or as needed
• Maximizes patient flow by active involvement in ER and admission/discharge opportunities
• Communicates with the Administrator on call
• Interprets policies as a resource for staff
• Promotes teamwork

The Nursing Admin Supervisor holds floor staff accountable for Service Excellence principles as well as huddles bed side reporting hourly rounding AIDET and the use of the white boards and reports issues to the Nurse Directors as appropriateSUPERVISION Reports directly to Director of House Supervision

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
