Job summary

Capital Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse in a leadership role for a night shift (7:00pm–7:30am, rotating weekends and holidays). The position requires a BSN and at least five years of RN experience, including leadership responsibilities.

NIH Stroke Scale certification is required by orientation, with ongoing stroke education hours. The role involves coordinating nursing staff, ensuring quality of care, and communicating with outside agencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN is required, MSN preferred.
• Five years of RN experience including at least two years in a leadership role (e.g., Assistant Nurse Manager, Nurse Manager, Coordinator, Supervisor, Team Lead, or Charge Nurse).
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification required or to be obtained by end of orientation; 8 hours of stroke-related CNE annually.

Responsibilities

• Assist leadership in identifying clinical and administrative priorities.
• Communicate with outside agencies and media according to PR guidelines.
• Follow emergency procedures and respond to emergencies and codes.
• Coordinate nursing staffing and schedules for shifts.
• Monitor quality of nursing care and respond to patient concerns.
