Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalency as determined by the appointing authority.
• Two years professional experience in a field that is directly related to the functions of the position to be filled or equivalency as determined by the appointing authority.
• A Ph.D. or Ed.D. may substitute for two years of the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Effectively completes a comprehensive assessment of student learning needs, learning style and gaps in comprehension/knowledge.
• Develops and implements individualized or cohort-based academic support sessions.
• Develops and implements test-taking strategy sessions.
• Creates individualized learning support documents.
• Evaluates student/session outcomes.
• Maintains records of all student contacts, interventions, and outcomes.
• Provides feedback to staff about identified student needs and gaps in comprehension/knowledge.
• Works with staff to optimize curriculum, course, and program content based on student needs and outcomes.
