Job summary

Thomas Edison State University in Trenton, NJ, seeks a Director of Experiential Learning for Healthcare/Nursing Simulation to oversee the simulation lab and competency-based learning within the nursing and health professions programs.

Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Nursing, the role leads strategic planning, curriculum development, budgeting, and partnership building to ensure high-quality real-world learning and student readiness.

Qualifications

• Master’s of science in nursing (MSN) required.
• Eligibility for NJ licensure.
• Minimum of three years of simulation experience.
• Criminal background check and drug screening prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of the nursing simulation laboratory.
• Develop curricula and simulation scenarios aligned with outcomes.
• Collaborate with mentors, educators, staff, and external partners.
• Manage budgets for simulation labs and clinical programs.
• Monitor and analyze simulation data to improve student outcomes.
• Maintain equipment and coordinate maintenance.
