Job summary

Paycom - ATS in the Tampa area is seeking a part-time nursery caregiver to provide attentive care for infants, toddlers and preschoolers in a church nursery setting, with duties including diapering, dressing, feeding and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least six months of nursery caregiving experience, and a Level 2 background screening. Hours are Monday and Wednesday evenings and Sunday mid-morning, with some extra hours for events.

Responsibilities

• Provides care for infants, toddlers and preschoolers in a nursery; changes diapers and clothes and ensures personal hygiene and safety; feeds and cleans children; comforts and plays with children.

• Facilitates learning and exploration and supports Christian discipleship.
• Responds calmly to emergencies and notifies management and parents of issues.
• Keeps the nursery clean and safe at all times.

Job Details: Job Location: FLA-Tampa Area Command - Tampa, FL 33602, Position Type: Part Time less than 20, Education Level: High School Diploma/GED, Salary Range: $15.00 - $15.00 Hourly, Job Category: Child Care, Schedule/Hours: Monday and Wednesday - 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday - 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (Additional hours with special events)

Provides care for infants, toddlers and preschoolers in a nursery; changes babies' diapers and clothes and ensures their personal hygiene and safety; feeds and cleans babies, toddlers and preschoolers; comforts and plays with children.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitors all children's behavior and activities in a constant manner ensuring their health and safety at all times.
• Facilitates times of learning and exploration for children, providing for times of Christian discipleship.
• Responds to emergency situations in a calm and professional manner; notifies appropriate management and parents of any problems or incidents.
• Ensures the nursery is maintained in a safe and clean manner at all times.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Ability to observe children and endure their safety.
• Ability to lift, hold, and carry infants and toddlers on a continuous basis weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Duties are usually performed by combinations of siting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required AND
• Six months experience caring for babies in a nursery environment OR
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
