Job summary

Paylocity is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support customers in selecting plant materials and products, delivering exceptional service from inquiry to fulfillment. You will work with Outside Sales, operations, and shipping to ensure on-time delivery and satisfied customers.

You will build relationships with landscape professionals, provide tailored recommendations, process orders, and help identify new sales opportunities while supporting trade shows and customer visits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in horticulture, nursery, landscaping, garden center operations, or a related green industry.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with landscape contractors, garden centers, and nursery customers.
• Provide knowledgeable product recommendations and customized solutions based on customer needs.
• Process quotes, sales orders, and customer inquiries accurately and efficiently.
• Identify new sales opportunities while growing existing customer accounts.
• Conduct daily inventory checks to monitor product availability.
• Coordinate customer pickups and work with operations to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Capture and distribute weekly photos of available plant material to support sales efforts.
• Partner with Outside Sales Representatives to maximize customer success and business growth.
• Deliver responsive, professional customer service.
• Assist with trade shows, customer visits, and other sales initiatives as needed.

As an Inside Sales Representative, you'll be a resource for our customers, helping them find the right plant material and products while delivering an outstanding customer experience from inquiry through fulfillment. You'll collaborate closely with our Outside Sales team, operations, and shipping departments to ensure customers receive the products they need—on time and withexceptional service.

This is a full-time, on-site position.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of plant material, nursery products, and landscape applications.
• Experience in inside sales, customer service, account management, or business development.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working collaboratively across sales, operations, and logistics teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and willing to learn internal sales and inventory systems.
• Ability to work full-time on-site.
• Willingness to attend industry trade shows and visit customers when needed.
