Job summary

MediLodge of Alpena is seeking a Unit Manager/Nurse Supervisor RN to lead the nursing unit in a long-term care facility. The role directs staff, manages resident care, and collaborates with physicians to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The position requires an RN license, CPR certification, and at least three years of nursing experience, including one year in a long-term care setting. Excellent leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing, degree preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Valid CPR teaching certificate, if applicable.
• Three years of nursing experience, with at least one year in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Direct the operation of a nursing unit in a long-term care facility.
• Hire, discipline and evaluate unit staff.
• Plan and facilitate meetings to address resident care issues.
• Develop and evaluate programs for staff recruitment, retention, and education.
• Coordinate physician interactions and ensure timely interventions.
• Monitor staffing patterns to meet resident needs and budget.
