Job summary

Springfield Hospital is seeking an Inpatient Care Unit Nurse Manager who will lead nursing operations and ensure high-quality patient care. This role requires RN licensure and a track record in nursing leadership within a hospital setting.

The Nurse Manager will foster collaboration across disciplines, support a safe work environment, and align with CMS standards while promoting Patient and Family Centered Care. Strong communication and mentoring skills are essential for staff development.

Qualifications

• ADN or nursing certificate required.
• BSN is preferred.
• Active Vermont RN license in good standing or compact state RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS.
• 3 years of clinical experience.
• 1 year of nursing management/leadership experience.
• Telemetry experience.
• Nursing Leadership certification (preferred).
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Excellent people skills; strong communication and team promotion.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for providing service excellence and quality in patient care delivery.
• Serve as a supervisor, leader, and clinical resource; extend administration presence to uphold priorities and practices.
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with patient care disciplines and leadership partners.
• Promote professional behaviors and Patient and Family Centered Care.
• Demonstrate strong people skills and problem resolution abilities.
• Meet standards set by CMS and regulatory agencies; uphold nursing care standards.
• Act as ambassador for Springfield Hospital on and off duty.
