Job summary
Parkland Health in Dallas is seeking an experienced nurse leader to assist in the daily management of unit activities and staff development. You will oversee scheduling, patient care activities, and budget considerations to ensure high quality outcomes.
The role requires 3 years of professional nursing experience, an active RN license in Texas (or valid compact/license), and current BLS certification. Strong communication and collaboration with physicians and administration are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
- Must have three (3) years of professional nursing experience.
- Current RN license or valid temporary permit with the Texas Board of Nursing or valid Compact RN license.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
Responsibilities
- Assist in daily management of unit activities including staff supervision and development, planning, budget and quality improvements.
- Directly supervise time, attendance and patient care activities of assigned Nursing and ancillary staff.
- Develop staff schedules to maximize utilization while delivering optimal service to internal and external customers.
- Provide patient care, assess needs, plan discharge and arrange support services to ensure high quality patient care.
