Job summary

The Lodge at Rocky Mount in Rocky Mount, North Carolina is seeking a dynamic Unit Manager to round out a compassionate team that serves our residents and their families.

You will coordinate, manage and evaluate resident care on your unit; supervise direct care staff; observe residents; ensure accurate documentation; inform the Director of Nursing daily; participate in rounds with physicians; address concerns; review care plans; promote Service Excellence and support a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license in good standing.
• CPR certification required.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical, customer service, communication and leadership skills.
• Flexible, detail-oriented, with teamwork and service-excellence mindset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage and evaluate resident care and unit operations on assigned unit.
• Supervise direct care staff and provide assistance as necessary.
• Observe and assess residents.
• Ensure all appropriate documentation is made related to patients/residents and inform appropriate individuals.
• Inform Director of Nursing daily on status of patients/residents.
• Make rounds with physicians, review orders, lab reports and contact pharmacy as needed.
• Address patient/resident concerns.
• Investigate, report and follow through with any reported situation related to the patient/resident.
• Review patient/resident plans of care to ensure no alterations and evaluate status at start/end of shift.
• Promote a culture of Service Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIRMENTS:

• Coordinate, manage and evaluate resident care and unit operations on assigned unit.
• Supervise direct care staff and provide assistance as necessary.
• Observe and assess residents.
