Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to lead a medical unit within the Hartford HealthCare network. You will supervise a clinical team, oversee patient care plans, and drive quality outcomes using evidence-based practice.

In this role you will support the Nurse Manager, facilitate staffing, coach staff, and implement department goals to promote safety and excellence in patient care at Hartford Hospital.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License.
• BSN degree required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Arrhythmia Certification preferred before hire date.
• Leadership experience and/or unit committee work preferred.
• Specialty certification preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care planning.
• Apply nursing process to develop and monitor care plans.
• Set goals, monitor progress, and ensure quality and safety standards.
• Coach and conduct performance evaluations for staff.
• Align unit goals with hospital strategy and safety initiatives.
