NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist is hiring a Nurse Technician - Telemetry Buckley 5. This part-time evening role supports nursing colleagues, caring for patients on the telemetry unit and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment.

Under RN supervision, you will provide compassionate patient care, assist with basic procedures, and help maintain unit flow. Evening shifts and on-site work reflect our commitment to excellent patient experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year experience as Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician Program or Nursing Assistant, EKG, and Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Program.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide comfort and caring to patients and families.
• Perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment.
• Demonstrate teamwork and raise the bar for patient care.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift, move, and position patients of all weights with varying amounts of assistance in a fair manner on a regular and recurring basis including dexterity of fingers, hands, arms and feet with sensory requirements of speech, touch, vision and hearing to normal range with corrections.

Employment Details

Contract: Part-time (5 shifts biweekly) evening shift (3:30PM-midnight) located at New York-Presbyterian\Brooklyn Methodist.
All roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
