Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist is seeking a Nurse Technician for a part-time evening role. You will provide bedside care, support patients and families, and work under RN supervision in a fast-paced environment at the Brooklyn Methodist location.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of an approved Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician program (or equivalent), and current BCLS certification. Prior experience preferred for the evening shifts.

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

This position is a part-time (5 shifts biweekly) evening shift (3:30PM-midnight) located at New York-Presbyterian\\Brooklyn Methodist.

Preferred Criteria

• Minimum one year experience as Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting

Required Criteria

• High school diploma or GED
• Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician Program or Nursing Assistant, EKG, and Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Program, with documentation of completion
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift, move, and position patients of all weights with varying amounts of assistance in a fair manner on a regular and recurring basis including dexterity of fingers, hands, arms and feet with sensory requirements of speech, touch, vision and hearing to normal range with corrections.
